The science and policy surrounding climate change in Pennsylvania is rapidly taking shape. Featuring:

Moderator: Barry Seymour, Executive Director of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC)

Dr. Ray Najjar, a professor with the Departments of Meterology and Geosciences at Penn State will present the results of the Union of Concerned Scientists report. Their recent study, Climate Change in Pennsylvania: Impacts and Solutions for the Keystone State, presents the latest science on the expected impacts of climate change to our region, as well as potential solutions.

Rob Graff, Manager, Energy and Climate Initiatives, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commision (DVRPC), will present the results of DVRPC's recently released Regional Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory, which details the sources of GHG emissions in our region, and is guiding regional strategies for GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions reduction.

Center for Environmental Policy

The goals of the Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) at The Academy of Natural Sciences are to evaluate key issues of environmental policy, facilitate dialogues and decision-making on environmental topics, and inform the public from both an academic as well as practical perspective.  The CEP will answer the need for a non-partisan, science-based organization that is capable of accessing and guiding a myriad of public and private stakeholders.
